About Us

We are a small school where everyone knows your name. Our school consists of Preschool through 12, all housed under one roof. With all these grades we still only have approximately 440 students enrolled. We are located off exit 17 on I-91 on Route 302, just south from P & H Truckstop. The Blue Mountain School brings together the communities of Groton, Ryegate, and Wells River.

B M U MISSION STATEMENT

Blue Mountain Union students will be prepared to meet the challenges of living and working in diverse and dynamic local and global communities. Therefore, BMU students will be knowledgeable, emotionally and physically fit, civically engaged, involved in the arts, prepared for work and committed to fulfilling personal responsibilities and maintaining economic self-sufficiency.

Each student:

• Will enter school healthy and will learn about and practice a healthy lifestyle.

• Will learn in an intellectually challenging environment that is physically and emotionally safe for students and adults.

• Will be actively engaged in learning and will be connected to the school and broader community.

• Has access to personalized learning and to qualified caring adults.

• Is prepared for success in college or further studies and for employment in a global environment.
