FREE College Course

 

Community College of Vermont (CCV)
 

Intro to College Studies – a FREE non-credit course offered in all CCV locations this summer and fall. Thanks to continued support from VSAC’s GEAR-UP program, the Next Generation Commission, Vermont Department of Education, and the Vermont Community Foundation, students who successfully complete the Introduction to College Studies can apply for a voucher to take a free college course at CCV, any of the other Vermont State Colleges, or another partnering school while they are still in high school or the summer immediately following their senior year. Class of 2020 & Class of 2021: Check out Green Mountain Grad!

Starting July 1, 2021 every high school graduate from the Class of 2020 & the Class of 2021 can take a tuition-free course at any school in the VSCS: Northern Vermont University at Johnson or Lyndon, Community College of Vermont, Vermont Technical College or Castleton University. Any time, any campus, online or in-person. Whatever course that starts after July 1, 2021 that fit your schedule. 

 

 

 

Institutes of Vermont

Vermont's flagship summer program for talented teens, the Governor's Institutes offers 8 summer Institutes that gather teenagers from every high school in Vermont to study in-depth on the topics of their choice, such as Arts, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Current Issues and more. All Institutes are residential, take place on college campuses, and offer sliding scale tuition to meet all family budgets. www.giv.org.
