Okay, this is just a sort of tune-up for using our classroom blog.
First Prompt: Name one goal that you have for yourself for this school year. This may be a goal in sports, an academic goal, or a personal goal.
A former college professor once said to me "You're either moving forward in life or you're moving backward". I had no idea what he was talking about at the time. But now I know - either you are moving toward a goal that you have or you are loosing ground; there is no standing still. Fate will wash you backward unless you know what you are swimming toward.
For example, one thing that will most surely happen to you (and it happened to me for years), is that if you don't have your own plan, you will become part of someone else's. This happens for years with employment. You work these menial jobs, often minimum wage, that really are part of someone else's dream. (meaning, its their company and such). There's not much way around this until you aquire your own skills through experience, or college, tech school, etc. and then you can start moving toward your dream.
Right now is the time to be formulating a plan that will set you up for the rest of your life. I'm not talking necessarily about some earth-changing sort of goal. Just a goal, that will move you closer to that person that you wish to become.
